(Photo by: Ministry of Transportation)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi on Friday (4\/9) conducted a working visit to East and South Kalimantan Provinces to monitor and ensure health protocols are strictly implemented in transportation facilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe must monitor the condition on the ground to know further measures that need to be taken. Thus, we can take the right and effective measures. In addition, I also will listen to inputs from regional governments,\u201d the Minister said.<\/p>\n<p>On that occasion, Budi inspected facilities in Aji Pangeran Tumenggung (APT) Pranoto Airport in Samarinda and had a joined coordination meeting with Technical Management Units in the province.<\/p>\n<p>In that meeting, he called on all Technical Management Units to always uphold and implement the health protocols for the sake of our health and in order to break the COVID-19 transmission chain.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding airport infrastructure, the Minister said that several development projects in Aji Pangeran Tumenggung (APT) Pranoto Airport will be continued for the next three years, such as the construction of guardrail, reconditioning and installment of clean water facility, procurement of watch room equipment, and drainage system.<\/p>\n<p>For the record, APT Pranoto Airport has a 2,250 meter-long and 45 meter-wide runway. It has 300 meters x 123 meters apron and 173 meters x 23 meters taxiway, with 12,700 m2 of terminal area which can accommodate 1.5 million passengers per year.
