The Indonesian Government has announced its commitment to massively campaign on 3M (wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining distance) to families, Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection I Gusti Ayu Bintang Darmawati said.<\/p>\n

“We have to do this massively and involve institutions or women observers, including the Family Welfare Program. This is what we will do,\u201d the Minister said when giving a press statement at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Thursday (24\/9).<\/p>\n

The Ministry, according to Bintang, has a forum for children spread across 34 provinces, 451 regencies\/municipalities, all of which are involved as pioneers and informants.<\/p>\n

“We can invite them to disseminate the information and campaign massively on 3M. Always wear a mask, keep wearing masks, as well as keep your distance and wash your hands,” the Minister said.<\/p>\n

In connection with the family cluster, the Minister said that there were several concerns, such as compliance with health protocols, not only when leaving the house.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, Bintang stated that it is advisable to keep wearing masks at home especially if there are vulnerable groups in the family such as toddlers and the elderly.<\/p>\n

According to Bintang, the Ministry will coordinate with the COVID-19 Handling Task Force to create a family health protocol to prevent COVID-19 infection inside and outside the home.<\/p>\n

“It is expected that the family health protocol will contain the protocol for family members, infected family members, and steps that need to be taken,” she said.<\/p>\n

According to Bintang, it is important for the family members to protect not only themselves but also others, such as avoiding offline meetings with extended families.<\/p>\n

“In this pandemic, we have been introduced to online meetings or virtual meetings. If there is a celebration, for example, a birthday celebration, it should be held online instead of offline and so on,” she said.<\/p>\n

The MInister called for innovation and creativity to reduce the spread of COVID-19. She also invited people to unite and work together in this difficult situation. (TGH\/EN<\/strong>)<\/p>\n
