Doctors, nurses, and medical staff have made hard efforts to take care of COVID-19 patients because they must work in a risk of getting infected, and have no time to meet their families.<\/p>\n

President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo also expressed sympathy for the difficulties they are facing when talking with Sifira Kristingrum, a nurse at Dr. Ramelan Navy Hospital, during a video call.<\/p>\n

Sifira said that she has been taking care of COVID-19 patients for 5 months and rarely went home. She is assigned at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) which has 16 beds and 11 ventilators. She said that the number of patients admitted to the ICU has decreased during the past two weeks.<\/p>\n

The nurse also told the President that the hospital is equipped with sufficient medical equipment and staff, particularly with the addition of volunteers at the ICU. She also told about the condition of COVID-19 patients and reminded the public to always discipline in following the health protocols such as wearing face masks, regularly washing hands, and maintaining a safe distance.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, the President also expressed his gratitude and highest appreciation to Nurse Fira and all medical staff who are treating the COVID-19 patients for their dedication and hard work.<\/p>\n

\u201cAllow me to extend my gratitude and appreciation to all nurses, medical staff, and doctors since fighting against COVID-19 is surely not an easy task. They must wear protective personal equipment for eight whole hours. Therefore, I really appreciated what Fira and other medical staff have done in tackling COVID-19.
