(Photo: Press Bureau of Presidential Secretariat)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Spokesperson of the COVID-19 Handling Working Committee Reisa Brotoasmoro has announced that in the first week of October, Indonesia\u2019s recovery rate continues to climb to 75.27 percent.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The ratio of recoveries to the total cases (as of week 1 of October) has increased compared to that in the previous week (week 4 of September) recorded at 73.77 percent,&#8221; Reisa said Monday (5\/10).<\/p>\n<p>According to her, the latest COVID-19 data showed that the number of patients discharged as of 5 October 2020 stood at 232,593 and the number of active cases reached 63,274, bringing the total number of positive cases to 307,120.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, she continued, the number of deaths reaches 11,253 cases, making the ratio of deaths to 3.67%.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The death rate has dropped compared to that in the previous week which was at 3.77 percent, thanks to all parties involved in this achievement,\u201d said Reisa.<\/p>\n<p>The Government, Reisa added, has also implemented various strategies to flatten the COVID-19 curve from month to month, including through 3T (testing, tracing, and treatment).<\/p>\n<p>As for testing, up to 40,000 people were tested per day in more than 340 laboratories, while the tracing efforts find about 140,000 cases every day.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Apart from 3T, there are still other ways to curb virus transmission, namely by wearing a face mask, maintaining physical distancing, avoiding crowds, and washing hands properly,&#8221; Reisa said. <strong>(UN)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Translated by: Estu Widyamurti<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Reviewed by: M.
