(Photo: Presidential Secretariat)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo has stated that the controversy surrounding the Law on Job Creation was due to disinformation and hoaxes that are spread through social media.<\/p>\n<p>For that reason, the President on Friday (9\/10) delivered a press statement to counter those disinformation to the general public.<\/p>\n<p>According to the President, the Omnibus Law on Job Creation has three main objectives, namely to boost employment, to facilitate the communities especially micro and small businesses in order to grow, and to prevent and eradicate corruption.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of State also addressed several allegations against the law and called them inaccurate, including the removal of regional minimum wage, the removal of leave rights and social security, and the unilaterally layoffs at any time.<\/p>\n<p>The regional minimum wage, leave rights, social security will still be there, while companies cannot conduct layoffs unilaterally, he added.<\/p>\n<p>The President also dismissed information about the elimination of environment impact analysis (Amdal) requirement for industries, saying that big industries still need to conduct such analysis, while MSMEs will be assisted and supervised.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding provisions that regulate commercialization on education, President Jokowi said that it is not true as the Law does not regulate education licensing.<\/p>\n<p>The President also pointed out on the existence of a Land Bank.
