During National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) on the Government Procurement of Goods and Services of 2020, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo encouraged to make a fundamental change in goods and services procurement system. The President also urged the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP) to improve processing capacity of procurement data by utilizing a super-modern technology.<\/p>\n

In line with the President’s directive, Ministry of Communication and Informatics supports digitalization of government procurement of goods and services through the development, integration, and harmonization of electronic platforms for the provision of goods and services.<\/p>\n

“We will carry out integration through the development of Local Monitoring-Evaluation Application (AMEL) and procurement planning information system (SiRUP) based on the MoU signed by the LKPP and Ministry of Communication and Informatics in June 2020,” Minister of Communication and Informatics Johnny G. Plate stated in his written statement.<\/p>\n

According to him, the Ministry will also support the provision of cloud computing-based infrastructure and platforms. “We collaborate with the LKPP for electronic procurement services (LPSE) or LPSE Cloud. We also provide technical guidance for Commitment-making Officials (PPK) in relevant ministries\/institutions to optimize the use of technology and platforms, including the SiRUP and electronic procurement system (SPSE),” he said.<\/p>\n

Based on the SPSE data, the Government spending on this year’s procurement of goods\/services reached Rp 1,027.1 trillion. It was able to save Rp 90 trillion through e-tendering and e-purchasing and better competence human resources.<\/p>\n

The Minister went on to say that ministries\/institutions must be able to seize the opportunity during the COVID-19 pandemic to revive the national economy. “The President has ordered to use this momentum and take the opportunities during the pandemic as real efforts to revive the economy and to improve the nation’s prosperity,” he added.<\/p>\n

The Ministry then executed the instruction through the acceleration of digital transformation that includes development of information and communications technology (ICT), creation of digital transformation roadmaps, provision of digital talent\/human resources, acceleration of of national data center (PDN) development, as well as preparation of formulation of regulation and other schemes needed.
