In accordance with Presidential Regulation Number 55 of 2020, Cabinet Secretariat has a duty to monitor the implementation of government policies and programs, Deputy Cabinet Secretary Ratih Nurdiati has said.<\/p>\n

The Deputy made the statement at the Coordination Meeting on the Progress of the Follow-up of the President’s Promises during Presidential\/State Events and Working Visits in June-December 2019, Thursday (26\/11).<\/p>\n

According to her, Cabinet Secretariat will provide support in the form of an information technology (IT) system related to the monitoring of the follow-up of the President’s promises during presidential\/state events and working visits.<\/p>\n

“Cabinet Secretariat plans to provide IT system support to assist the reporting (fulfillment of the President’s promises),” she said.<\/p>\n

Ratih went on to say that face-to-face meetings between stakeholders and manual work will be significantly reduced with the use of IT system and an agreement on the instruments and parameters for measuring the outputs and outcomes of the President’s directives.<\/p>\n

“We will work swiftly with the IT system. We hope the output of the reporting results, both in the scale of outputs and benefits (outcomes), will be more precisely achieved,” she said.<\/p>\n

She further said that in this new normal era, the way of working will rely more on the IT system so it will be more efficient and effective.<\/p>\n

The Cabinet Secretariat has been conducting the monitoring since 2019 as a structured collective effort, but the object of discussion began in 2014 (in the era of Working Cabinet) until present.<\/p>\n

“The monitoring is based on the view that it is important to measure the achievements of the President’s promises, be it the ones delivered during presidential\/state events or working visits. The monitoring is essential so these promises are not only being a statement, instead, it will be followed-up as an effort to support the President as a head of government,” Ratih said.<\/p>\n

She also said that the President often collected aspirations from the community to realize his vision and mission. That is the Cabinet Secretariat’s task to ensure the development plans that have been prepared by the ranks of the Cabinet is in line with the public aspirations.<\/p>\n

“The task can be simple because probably the aspirations are in line with those that have been planned in the planning document. However, the aspirations can be included in the planning document but not a priority yet, or they are not included at all.
