\n<\/span><\/span>Assalamu\u2019alaikum<\/span><\/span> warahmatullahi<\/span><\/span> wabarakatuh<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

First of all, I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation, the highest appreciation to the joint SAR Team consisting of Ministry of Transportation, the Search and Rescue Agency (<\/span><\/span>Basarnas<\/span><\/span>), the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (<\/span><\/span>Polri<\/span><\/span>) and the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) as well as all stakeholders that I can’t possibly mention one by one, for their strong efforts since the beginning of the accident until now. And, as we know, large and small pieces (of the aircraft body) have been found. Then, the black box has also been found. Now, we just have to wait for the CVR (Cockpit Voice Recorder).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And, also just now, we have witnessed the handover of compensation, both from state-owned insurance company <\/span><\/span>Jasa\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Raharja<\/span><\/span> of Rp50 million per passenger and <\/span><\/span>Sriwijaya<\/span><\/span> (Air) of Rp1.25 billion. And, once again I thank you for the compensation and it should be distributed immediately to all victims and passengers.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I also want to express my deep condolences to the families, hopefully, they are blessed with heartiness and patience.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Finally, I want safety to come first in the field of transportation. Therefore, I order <\/span><\/span>to immediately take f<\/span><\/span>ollow-up<\/span><\/span> actions<\/span><\/span> both by the KNKT and by the (Ministry) of Transportation, especially on the inspection and supervision of aircraft that will fly for the sake of public safety, for the safety of passengers.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
