Regarding <\/span>the<\/span> meeting with <\/span>the <\/span>Governors yesterday (03\/02), what can you <\/span>tell us, <\/span>Pak<\/i><\/span>?<\/span><\/p>\n

President of the Republic of Indonesia (Joko<\/span> \u201cJokowi\u201d\u00a0<\/span>Widodo)<\/span><\/p>\n

Yes, yesterday I met with Governor of Jakarta, Governor of Special Region of Yogyakarta, Governor of West Java, Governor of Central Java, and Governor of Bali <\/span>s<\/span>o <\/span>we can <\/span>make effective restrictions on community activities. <\/span>I<\/span> also mentioned<\/span>\u00a0about<\/span> the importance of two things that we lacked yesterday <\/span>on the ground<\/span>. This means that we <\/span>aim<\/span> to strengthen existing activities <\/span>on the ground<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, <\/span>I <\/span>highlight<\/span>ed<\/span> the<\/span> importan<\/span>ce<\/span> of <\/span>restrict<\/span>ions<\/span> on <\/span>community activities at the micro level, at the village level,<\/span> at the <\/span>community unit (<\/span>RW<\/span>)<\/span> level, at the <\/span>neighboring unit (<\/span>RT<\/span>)<\/span> level. That’s the key. <\/span>That\u2019s what we must im<\/span>p<\/span>lement on the ground<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then<\/span>,<\/span> second, <\/span>equally<\/span> important from the <\/span>G<\/span>overnment side<\/span> is to boost <\/span>testing, tracing, and treatment (3T)<\/span>measures<\/span>. This means that if <\/span>someone<\/span> ha<\/span>s<\/span> tested <\/span>positive <\/span>for COVID-19, <\/span>they<\/span> will be immediately tracked down. At least 30 people <\/span>who have <\/span>contact<\/span>ed<\/span> with th<\/span>e<\/span> person should be traced. And<\/span> then<\/span>, <\/span>they must be <\/span>isolate<\/span>d<\/span> immediately. I <\/span>put <\/span>emphasis on it<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

So <\/span>w<\/span>e aim to boost <\/span>its<\/span> implementation on the ground and to<\/span>\u00a0strengthen <\/span>3T <\/span>measures<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

But also don’t forget to remind the public about 3M<\/span>:\u00a0<\/span>wearing a <\/span>face <\/span>mask, washing hands, maintaining <\/span>a safe <\/span>distance. I think that’s the point of the meeting with the five <\/span>G<\/span>overnors yesterday.<\/span><\/p>\n
