Cabinet Secretariat has won two awards at the 2020 Announcement of Public Service Provider Appreciation and Evaluation for Ministries\/Government Agencies and the 2020 Appreciation Announcement of Public Service Facilities and Infrastructure for Vulnerable Groups.<\/p>\n

The presentation ceremony was held on Tuesday (09\/03\/2021) at the Ritz-Carlton Ballroom in capital Jakarta.<\/p>\n

The event was held by Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, Cabinet Secretary was awarded as a Public Service Supervisor with Prime Service or Grade A, while Office of Assistant to the Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Cabinet Meeting Administration under the Office of the Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Cabinet Work Support (DKK) also received an award for Public Service Provider Unit with Prime Service or Grade A.<\/p>\n

After the event, Deputy to Cabinet Secretary for Cabinet Work Support Thanon Aria Dewangga expressed gratitude for the achievement, while underscoring that the awards are the realization of the commitment of all elements of Cabinet Secretariat, especially the Office of Deputy DKK in providing the best service.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank God, we can receive this award due to the commitment of my colleagues in giving the best service. Of the many (ministries \/ government agencies) that Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform assessed, only six won the award for prime service,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

However, Thanon reminded State Civil Apparatus in his institution that the awards should serve as a challenge in continuing to improve their service.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope the awards can be a push for State Civil Apparatus at the Office of Deputy for Cabinet Work Support and at Cabinet Secretariat to maintain and improve (their service) in coming years,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Thanon also expressed hope that other public service provider units can also be assessed, not only the Office of the Assistant to the Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Cabinet Meeting Administration, which has been assessed for two years in a row.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow, our Public Service Index is 4.52. We hope we can improve it. But next year I hope the service provider unit is different, not Office of the Assistant to the Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Cabinet Meeting Administration (anymore),\u201d Thanon remarked.<\/p>\n

Echoing a similar sentiment, Assistant to the Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Cabinet Meeting Administration Sjahriati Rochmah said that the achievement this year is an improvement of the achievement in the previous year.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was A- and now it is Prime Service. Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform assessed that we have an improvement and it is a good example. Thus, Cabinet Secretary was also given an award for Public Service Supervisor,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Tjahjo Kumolo appealed to all ministries \/ government agencies to focus on enhancing public service quality.<\/p>\n

\u201cBased on the President\u2019s directives, economic growth and the success of national development are focused on quick, accurate, and responsible public service improvement, which also accelerates investment permit process for regional development. That is what the President always reminds us,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Tjahjo also underscored that public service quality improvement is an indicator of a bureaucratic reform success since every state administration activity leads up to service, adding that despite the pandemic, the Government continues to carry out bureaucratic reforms as ordered by President Joko \u00a0\u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo.<\/p>\n

\u201cAmid the COVID-19 pandemic, which has lasted for a year, with working from home, the President ordered State Civil Apparatus to be productive, professional, and disciplined in observing health protocols,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Deputy to Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform for Public Service Diah Natalisa reported that the Ministry assessed fifty five ministries \/ government agencies for the public service evaluation in 2020.<\/p>\n

Following the evaluation, six public service provider units from six ministries \/ government agencies have succeeded in achieving Grade A or Prime Service.<\/p>\n

These units are Consular Directorate of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Office of the Assistant to the Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Cabinet Meeting Administration, Karanganyar Small Tax Office of Ministry of Finance, Integrated Statistical Service of Central Statistics Agency, Yogyakarta Municipal Office of Ministry of Religious Affairs, and Agriculture Education Quality Assurance Development Agency of Ministry of Education and Culture.<\/p>\n

Twenty six other units received grade A- or Excellent, while, fifteen service units of ministries \/ government agencies got grade B, four ministries \/ government agencies got B-, 2 ministries \/ government agencies got C, and 1 ministry \/ government agency got C-.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith those results, the 2020 Public Service Index for ministries and government agencies is 4.0, which is categorized as Good. The index improve compared to the achievement in 2019 at 3.83,\u201d said Diah.<\/p>\n

On the evaluation, Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform assessed six aspects, namely policies, professionalism of human resources, facilities and infrastructure, public service information system, consultation and complaint, as well as innovation.<\/p>\n

During the event, Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform also expressed appreciation for government agencies that become an example for vulnerable group-friendly public service providers.<\/p>\n

Thirty four units from five government agencies are ready to be the exemplary units. These agencies are Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning \/ the National Land Agency, and the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n
