In a bid to improve the quality of cabinet management support to the President and Vice President in the governance, particularly in organizing cabinet and limited meetings, on Thursday (1\/4), office of the Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Cabinet Work Support virtually held a Focused Group Discussion (FGD) to analyze minutes of cabinet meetings.<\/p>\n

The FGD adopting a theme \u201cInnovation in the Management of Cabinet Meetings in the Age of Bureaucratic Reforms\u201d was attended by state civil apparatus working at Cabinet Secretariat and at other ministries\/institutions, as well as presidential special staffers.<\/p>\n

Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Cabinet Work Support Thanon Aria Dewangga said this FGD brought together stakeholders and users of minutes of the meetings which is expected can improve Cabinet Secretariat\u2019s\u00a0 service quality in preparing the minutes of plenary cabinet meetings and limited meetings led by the President and Vice President.<\/p>\n

For the record, minutes of cabinet meetings are documents containing reports of cabinet meetings, such as meetings, forums, and assemblies led by the President where he gives directives to ministers, heads of institutions, and other government officials.<\/p>\n

Thanon expressed belief that excellent quality provided by the Cabinet Secretariat in preparing the minutes of meetings will also support other ministries\/institutions to improve their services to the public. For that reason, he expected the participants of this FGD to give input and criticism for the improvement of minutes of cabinet meetings quality.<\/p>\n

\u201cThrough input and views from your side, I believe the minutes can be understood easily by the ministers and heads of institutions,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He went on to say that the improvement of minutes of meetings quality will accelerate the implementation of directives and orders mentioned in the documents.<\/p>\n
