(Photo by: Public Relations\/Jay)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Cabinet Secretariat, as the fostering agency for the Government Functional Position of Translators and Interpreters (JFP), is currently revising regulations on the development of these positions to fit the new pattern of development of State Civil Apparatus and functional positions issued by relevant ministries\/institutions.<\/p>\n<p>For this reason, Cabinet Secretariat, on Wednesday (7\/4), held online dissemination of the New Pattern for the Development of Functional Positions, which was also intended to gather input from PFPs throughout the country.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Administrative Affairs Farid Utomo in his written remarks read by Head of the Center for Government Translators and Interpreters Development Sri Wahyu Utami stated that the event is vital for all translators and interpreters to help them understand the new patterns applied for their performance appraisal.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Apart from that, we also want to involve translators and interpreters in the process of drafting the revision of the JFP guideline regulations which are planned to be implemented in early 2022,&#8221; Farid said.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, he added, the philosophy behind implementing the new pattern is to encourage the performance of State Civil Apparatus in supporting the performance of work units and institutions in accordance with their respective duties.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This new pattern that is in the form of integration of credit points and Employee Performance Targets (SKP) is expected to encourage the performance of functional officials to be more focused on the duties and functions of work units or leaders while working based on their respective job descriptions,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>This event is also an effort to facilitate career development and increase the competence of the Indonesian Government Translators and Interpreters (PFP).
