(Photo by: Bureau of Press, Media, and Information of Presidential Secretariat\/Muchlis Jr)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo reminded the public that the pandemic is not over yet and the public must remain vigilant.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">According to the President, extraordinary situation we are currently facing must be responded with quick and appropriate policies, which requires cooperation from all stakeholders.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cThe situation we are facing is extraordinary, which must be responded with quick and appropriate policies and require cooperation from all, including all state institutions from the Central Government to regional governments,\u201d he said during the Submission of Audit Report of the 2020 Central Government Financial Report and the Audit Results Statement and Audit Report of Semester II of 2020 at the State Palace, Friday (25\/06\/2021).<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The President stated that since the pandemic began in 2020, the Government has taken extraordinary measures to manage it, including by revising the State Budget.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cBudget refocusing and reallocation at every level of governance and State Budget deficit relaxation can be widened above three percent over three years. Deficit widening must be done considering state expenditure continues to increase for health care and economic management at a time when the sate revenues are declining,\u201d he said, adding that the pandemic is handled with a spirit of togetherness by sharing the burden.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cWe also encourage many state institutions to share the pain, to handle the pandemic with a spirit of togetherness, to share the burden together, just like burden sharing carried out between the Government and central bank Bank Indonesia,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Head of State added that with various policies, the Government is able to manage the increase in health care spending and protect the country\u2019s economy from many pressures.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cEven though we recorded a deep contraction in the second quarter of 2020 at minus 5.32 percent, in the next quarter, we managed to rebound.
