(source: screenshot from Presidential Secretariat YouTube channel)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Indonesia Friday (30\/07) received another batch of 1.5 million doses of ready-to-use Sinopharm vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe vaccine we received today is part of the Gotong Royong\u00a0vaccination program,\u201d Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises I Pahala Mansury told the press while welcoming the arrival of the vaccine at Soekarno-Hatta airport in Banten province.<\/p>\n<p>Pahala expressed hope that the Gotong Royong vaccination scheme can support the Government\u2019s daily vaccination target to achieve herd immunity.<\/p>\n<p>The Gotong Royong\u00a0vaccination scheme, according to Pahala, is based on the spirit of collaboration between the Government and the business sector.<\/p>\n<p>Pahala also pointed out that the Government continues to communicate with relevant parties, including the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), to ensure that vaccine supply for workers can be fulfilled.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope that the people will not hesitate to be vaccinated since it can reduce the severity if one is exposed to the virus,\u201d Pahala said, adding that people also need to remain disciplined in observing health protocols after being vaccinated.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, Deputy Chairperson of Kadin for International Relations Shinta Kamdani said she appreciated the Government&#8217;s commitment to meet vaccine needs for the people, especially business people and workers through the Gotong Royong\u00a0vaccination scheme.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKadin is committed to assisting the Government and the people to curb the transmission of COVID-19, one of which by launching the Kadin War Against the Pandemic program through vaccination and providing oxygen supply and its equipment, medical devices, staple foods, medicines, and others,\u201d Shinta said.<\/p>\n<p>Shinta also urged the public, including business actors, both private and state-owned enterprises, to work hand-in-hand and play their roles in tackling the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>She also urged companies with financial capabilities to provide vaccination not only for their workers and their families, but also the surrounding communities through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKadin also supports the Government\u2019s steps and policies in handling COVID-19, including public activity restriction (PPKM) to suppress the rate of pandemic transmission although this brings consequences for many business people who cannot operate optimally,\u201d she remarked.<strong> (TGH\/UN)\u00a0(GWH\/EP)<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Indonesia Friday (30\/07) received another batch of 1.5 million doses of ready-to-use Sinopharm vaccine. \u201cThe vaccine we received today is part of the Gotong Royong\u00a0vaccination program,\u201d Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises I Pahala Mansury told the press while welcoming the arrival of the vaccine at Soekarno-Hatta airport in Banten province.
