(Source: YouTube Channel of Presidential Secretariat)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>In a bid to speed up the Gotong Royong vaccination scheme, the Government Tuesday (03\/08) secured another batch of COVID-19 vaccine amounting 500,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The arrival of Sinopharm vaccine is a part of the Gotong Royong vaccination scheme, which is a collaboration between state-owned enterprises, including state-owned pharmaceutical company PT Bio Farma, state-owned pharmaceutical company PT Kimia Farma and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin),\u201d Vice Minister I of Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises Pahala Nugraha Mansury said.<\/p>\n<p>This 34<sup>th<\/sup> batch of vaccine, Pahala added, is expected to speed up vaccination for employees and their families, adding that it is also one of the Government\u2019s efforts to boost vaccination rates which target has been set to reach two million doses per day.<\/p>\n<p>Pahala also urged the public to stay disciplined in observing health protocols and not to hesitate to get vaccinated because vaccine can reduce the risks of chronic illness when one is infected by COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, Vice Chairperson of Kadin Shinta Widjaja Kamdani pointed out that Kadin will continue to be involved in vaccination drive in order to speed up vaccination and achieve the target that has been set by the Government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe realized that vaccine supply is limited.
