There are two types of production\u00a0that\u00a0arrived, namely AstraZeneca with 1.086 million doses and Sinovac with 5 million doses. Both are ready-to-use vaccines. \u00a0Meanwhile, from Sinovac, there is still an additional 9.2 million doses in the form of vaccine bulk,&#8221; Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy said in a live-streamed press statement on the welcoming the arrival of the COVID-19 vaccines.<\/p>\n<p>According to Muhadjir,\u00a0the arrivals of these vaccines showed\u00a0the Government&#8217;s hard efforts to secure supply of COVID-19 vaccines to meet the national vaccination needs.<\/p>\n<p>In this regard, he added, the Government also continues to accelerate vaccination drive to immediately achieve herd immunity with a target of around 208 million people.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister also pointed out that\u00a0until 26 August 2021, the first dose of vaccine has been administered to 28.53 percent of the target, while the second dose of vaccine to 16.02 percent of the target.<\/p>\n<p>To accelerate the vaccination drives, he added, close cooperation and the participation of all elements of the nation are vital.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Government invites all elements, such as social organizations, religious and community figures, private business players, non-governmental organizations, and volunteers, to continue to work hand in hand for the success of this national vaccination,&#8221; the Minister said, adding that the Government also invites the entire community to immediately participate in the success of this vaccination drive.<\/p>\n<p>Muhadjir also underscored the importance of cooperation from all elements of the nation in tackling the\u00a0pandemic, adding that the strategy to coexist with the pandemic is carried out by prioritizing the use of technology.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We shall implement health protocols and utilize all our capabilities, including technology, to accelerate recovery in the health sector, recovery in the economy, especially in the productivity sector, as well as to end this pandemic.
