{"id":225983,"date":"2021-08-31T12:52:03","date_gmt":"2021-08-31T05:52:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/setkab.go.id\/?p=225983"},"modified":"2021-09-08T12:55:35","modified_gmt":"2021-09-08T05:55:35","slug":"remarks-of-president-joko-widodo-during-inauguration-of-kuningan-dam-31-augustus-2021-kuningan-regency-west-java-province","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/setkab.go.id\/en\/remarks-of-president-joko-widodo-during-inauguration-of-kuningan-dam-31-augustus-2021-kuningan-regency-west-java-province\/","title":{"rendered":"Remarks of President Joko Widodo During Inauguration of Kuningan Dam 31 Augustus 2021 Kuningan Regency, West Java Province"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Assalamu\u2019alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh<\/em>,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Good afternoon,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Peace and prosperity be upon us all.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Honorable Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, Minister of State Secretary,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Honorable Member of Commission V of House of Representatives Mr. Mulyadi,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Honorable Governor of West Java, Regent of Kuningan,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ladies and Gentlemen,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Alhamdulillah<\/em><em>, <\/em>Kuningan Dam in West Java Province, which was built for seven years at a cost of Rp513 billion, has been completed and is ready to operate with a capacity of 25.9 million cubic meters.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The dam will continuously irrigate 3,000 hectares of community rice fields in Kuningan, Cirebon, and Brebes regencies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If we can maintain water supply to irrigate rice fields, farmers can increase planting frequency from once a year to two or three times a year. Thus, it will increase farmers\u2019 productivity and welfare.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The dam will also be beneficial in supporting flood control and in providing raw water services of 0.30 cubic meters per second, as well as has the potential to generate 0.5 megawatts of electricity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ladies and Gentlemen,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I order (related parties) to connect the dam to the existing irrigation network\u2014starting from the primary, secondary, tertiary, to the quarter channels.
