Vice President Ma\u2019ruf Amin Thursday (07\/10) in the Central Java provincial capital of Semarang led the 2021 coordination meeting that discussed extreme poverty eradication in the province.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis meeting is a follow-up of the online coordination meeting on extreme poverty eradication that I led on 28 September 2021,\u201d he said during the opening the meeting.<\/p>\n

This coordination meeting is also one of the agenda in the Vice President\u2019s working visit to seven provinces that have become the priority for the 2021 extreme poverty eradication that began last week.<\/p>\n

\u201cI order the governor and the regents of the five priority regencies in 2021 in Central Java province to propose constructive ideas to eradicate extreme poverty in their respective areas that can also serve as an input for the Government to prepare policies for tackling extreme poverty in 2022-2024,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the Vice President also said he wanted to learn the perspective of the Central Java Governor and the regents of the 2021 priority regions in the province in identifying extremely impoverished households so that the programs can aim the right target.<\/p>\n

Their opinions will serve as inputs for the Central Government\u2019s data improvement process, he added.<\/p>\n

\u201cSpecifically, I would also like to ask for suggestions about how we can ensure that ministries \/ government institutions\u2019 and regional governments\u2019 program can convergence and extreme poverty eradication measures, including provincial or regency governments\u2019 top programs, can reduce extreme poverty in Central Java province in the remaining time we have left in 2021 and in the following years up to 2024,\u201d he remarked.
