Ambassadors of friendly countries and the World Bank representative have applauded the Government of Indonesia for continuously implementing mangrove restoration project.<\/p>\n

“This is the largest mangrove restoration project in the world and therefore we applaud the Indonesian Government for doing it,” the World Bank Country Director Satu Kahkonen said after participating in mangrove planting activity with President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo in Tana Tidung regency, North Kalimantan province, Tuesday (19\/10).<\/p>\n

In the meantime, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Indonesia Jaroslav Dolecek said that mangrove restoration is important for all countries.<\/p>\n

“The global climate is not about individuals or one Government, it is about all of us,” the Ambassador said.<\/p>\n

Ambassador of Finland to Indonesia Jari Sinkari said that mangrove forests are very efficient in absorbing carbon dioxide gas. He also praised the measures taken by the Indonesian Government to focus on planting mangroves.<\/p>\n

Ambassador of Switzerland to Indonesia Kurt Kunz expressed hope that the mangrove restoration program would be a model for the Indonesian people and the world to protect nature.<\/p>\n

Deputy Ambassador of Brazil to Indonesia Daniel Barra Ferreira said that the mangrove rehabilitation program shows Indonesia’s strong commitment to sustainable development.<\/p>\n
