President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo on Saturday (30\/10) held a bilateral meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo\u011fan on the side event at the G20 Summit.<\/p>\n

The two Presidents discussed a number of things, including the plan for President Erdo\u011fan\u2019s visit to Indonesia.<\/p>\n

\u201cI look forward to Your Excellency’s visit to Indonesia around January or February 2022. I am sure Your Excellency’s visit will further strengthen the relations of Indonesia andTurkey,\u201d President Jokowi remarked at the meeting in Rome, Italy.<\/p>\n

The two leaders also assigned their Foreign Affairs Ministers to make preparation for the visit, including the launch of a high-level strategic mechanism.<\/p>\n

In addition, on the establishment of Indonesia-Turkey Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IT-CEPA) plan, President Jokowi expressed belief that the agreement will further strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n

\u201cI suggest that we assign the respective Ministers of Trade to conduct the negotiations immediately. Of course, it would be very good if IT-CEPA became one of the deliverables from Mr. President’s visit next year,\u201d President Jokowi said.<\/p>\n
