(Photo by: Public Relations\/Fitri)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Cabinet Secretariat and Ministry of Government Legislation of the Republic of Korea (MOLEG) Monday (15\/11) held a virtual meeting to discuss legislative cooperation in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>This meeting is a part of the implementation of the MoU on Cooperation between Cabinet Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia and Ministry of Government Legislation of the Republic of Korea signed on 10 September 2018 in South Korean capital of Seoul.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The implementation of the MoU between Cabinet Secretariat and the Korean Ministry of Government Legislation has been proceeding very well to this day, so it needs to be continued through real and more intensive, more detailed, and more focused activities,&#8221; Deputy for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Purnomo Sucipto during at the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Purnomo added that President Joko &#8220;Jokowi&#8221; Widodo gave a new task to Cabinet Secretariat through Presidential Regulation Number 68 of 2021, namely to review and provide recommendations on draft of ministerial\/head of institution regulation.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, the Cabinet Secretariat expressed hopes that MOLEG can share experiences and knowledge in assessing regulations in South Korea, especially regulations at the ministerial level.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, MOLEG delegation stated that in South Korea there are many entrepreneurs or investors who want to invest in Indonesia. Therefore, MOLEG expressed hope that Cabinet Secretariat can help facilitate so that these entrepreneurs\/investors can understand laws or regulations in the economic sector and investment\/business sector in Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We propose that at the end of 2022, a seminar can be held to provide information on the direction of Indonesia&#8217;s policies in the economic and business fields,&#8221; Director of Legislative Exchange and Cooperation Division Kim Nam-yeon said.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the MOLEG delegation also revealed plans for a minister working visit to Indonesia in early December.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I hope that all the cooperation and the results of today&#8217;s talks can be followed up at the meeting,&#8221; Director General of Planning and Coordination Kim Chang-beom said.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, both parties also agreed to continue cooperation in the field of legislation and the cooperation between the two will be further discussed and set forth in an action plan agreement signed by both parties next year.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We hope that the results of this meeting will bring positive benefits to the two countries, especially for the partnership between the two countries,&#8221; Purnomo said.<strong> (Deputy for Political, Legal and Security Affairs\/UN)<\/strong> <strong>(FI\/EP)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cabinet Secretariat and Ministry of Government Legislation of the Republic of Korea (MOLEG) Monday (15\/11) held a virtual meeting to discuss legislative cooperation in 2022.
