Presiden<\/span>t <\/span>Joko<\/span> \u201cJokowi\u201d<\/span> Widodo<\/span> Tuesday (03\/01) attended the 2022 Leadership Meeting of the Indonesian National Defense Force (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) at TNI Headquarters in Cilangkap, East Jakarta.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

In his directives, President Jokowi expressed appreciation to all ranks of TNI-Polri for their support to assist the Government in managing disasters, handling COVID-19 pandemic, and accelerating COVID-19 vaccination drive throughout Indonesia.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cI would like to express <\/span>my highest gratitude and appreciation to all ranks of TNI-Polri for being earnest in carrying out their responsibilities and obligations including carrying out humanitarian mission, namely supporting the Government in managing disasters and handling COVID-19 pandemic. And especially I would like to express my gratitude [to all ranks of TNI-Polri] for their support on the ground to boost COVID-19 vaccination drive,\u201d the President said.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

On that occasion, the Head of State<\/span> also <\/span>highlighted <\/span>the importance of national discipline<\/span>, adding that,<\/span> the discipline possessed by TNI-Polri ranks is different from civil<\/span> discipline<\/span> so that TNI-Polri must continue to improve and <\/span>become a good role model to <\/span>the community.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“I <\/span>order <\/span>TNI and Polri ranks to be able to set an example to the community <\/span>(in terms of discipline),\u201d President Jokowi said.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Furthermore, t<\/span>he President also reminded <\/span>attendees <\/span>that <\/span>the discipline of TNI-Polri <\/span>is limited by the rules <\/span>set<\/span> by the leaders. Therefore, the rule must continue to be upheld so that national discipline can be maintained.
