Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto (04\/10)<\/p><\/div>\n

The Government Sunday (04\/11) has announced that COVID-19 pandemic situation in Indonesia consistently improved. However, the Government will continue to stay vigilance in monitoring the latest update of the situation through a number of evaluations carried out by the Committee<\/em> for COVID<\/em>–<\/em>19 Handling<\/em> and National Economic Recovery (KPCPEN).<\/p>\n

Based on a report, Indonesia’s Effective Reproduction Number (Rt) has remained stable at the level of 1.00 in the last two weeks. It means that the rate of COVID-19 transmission in Indonesia is under control.<\/p>\n

As of April 11, 2022 daily confirmed COVID-19 cases recorded a consistent decrease of 1,196 cases, which means a significant decrease of 98.15 percent comparing to the peak of Omicron cases on February 16, 2022 with 64,718 cases. Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 active cases has lowered 88.08 percent \u2013 from 586,113 cases on February 24, 2022 to 69,849. \u00a0Moreover, the number of mortality cases has also decreased 88.03 percent \u2013 from 410 cases on March 8, 2022 to 41 cases.<\/p>\n

“Overall, the number of COVID-19 active cases outside Java-Bali is relatively low and continues to sink. The highest number of the Bed Occupancy Ratio (BOR) and COVID-19 Isolation outside Java-Bali is in East Nusa Tenggara province,\u201d Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said.<\/p>\n

The national BOR as of April 11, 2022 has recorded low at 4.09 percent, while the average number of the daily BOR in the past week (7DMA) was 5.00 percent.<\/p>\n

In addition, the number of hospitalizations as of April 11, 2022 has recorded 3,558 people, while the average number of the daily hospitalization in the past week (7DMA) was 4,113 people \u2013 3,469 people treated in isolation unit and 644people treated in intensive unit.<\/p>\n

Vaccination Coverage<\/strong><\/p>\n

As of April 11, 2022, the vaccination coverage for the first dose of vaccine in West Papua and Papua provinces are still lower than 70 percent. For the second dose of vaccine, there are 18 provinces (11 provinces of which are outside Java-Bali) that have reached more than 70 percent. While the third dose of vaccine (booster), there are only 18 provinces (11 provinces of which outside Java-Bali) that have reached more than 10 percent.<\/p>\n

In addition to vaccination, there are only 8 provinces that have reached lower than 70 percent for the first dose of vaccine for the elderly. Meanwhile, there are 6 provinces (2 provinces of which are outside Java-Bali) that have reached more than 70 percent for the second dose of vaccine for the elderly.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs of April 11, 2022, the percentage of the national vaccination coverage for the first dose is 94.81 percent, the second dose is 77.55 percent, and the third dose (booster) is still 13.26 percent,\u201d Airlangga added.<\/p>\n

Evaluation on the Assessment Level of Pandemic<\/strong><\/p>\n

Based on assessment level evaluation,\u00a0community transmission on confirmed cases has experienced a decrease. There is no province imposing assessment Level 4. Mortality rate in all provinces imposing assessment Level 1 is under controlled. As many as 16 provinces still have \u201cLimited\u201d Response Capacity due to limited testing and tracing, 7 provinces with \u201cGood\u201d category, and 4 provinces with \u201cProper\u201d category. With the current condition, the result of the assessment level evaluation showed that there are 7 provinces with assessment Level 3, 17 provinces with assessment Level 2, and 3 provinces (North Sumatera, West Nusa Tenggara, Riau Islands) with assessment Level 1.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Government has decided to extend the Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM) for the next two weeks from April 12 until April 25, 2022. The implementation of PPKM Level outside Java-Bali has significantly improved,\u201d The Coordinating Minister said.<\/p>\n
