The Government through Ministry of Trade and Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises Tuesday (05\/17) had synergized with cooking oil business owners to launch MigorRakyat <\/em>(Cooking Oil for People) program.<\/p>\n

The program aims to ensure that the sales of bulk cooking oil at a price of Rp14,000 per liter can be on target, especially for low-income people (MBR).<\/p>\n

\u201cThe program is a form of concern from cooking oil business owners for people, which is fully carried out through business process between cooking oil distributors and small business owners. There is no cooking oil subsidy for business owners. One day the program will be a breakthrough for new business model,\u201d Minister of Trade Muhammad Lutfi said while inspecting the implementation of the MigorRakyat program in Jakarta.<\/p>\n

In a meantime, Ministry of Trade\u2019s Director General of Domestic Trade Oke Nurwan said that the program will focus on retail transaction for beneficiaries, namely low-income people. The program implementation will be carried out by cooking oil business owners through digital technology application to ensure the sales of bulk cooking oil at a price of Rp14,000 per liter on target. Small business owners will sell 1 or 2 liters per day to people based on their identity cards.<\/p>\n

\u201cList of MigorRakyat program\u2019s sales locations can be accessed by all people through Gurih Indomarko<\/em> and Warung Pangan<\/em> IDFood platforms. As of today, there are 1,200 locations in five provinces in all over Indonesia, including capital Jakarta, West Java, Banten, East Java, North Sumatra, and North Sulawesi.
