(Photo by: PR\/Fitri)<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Office of the Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Cabinet Work Support Thursday (06\/09) held a Focus Group Discussion on Improvement in the Quality of Cabinet Meeting Report under the theme \u201cLinguistic Register for Cabinet Meetings: Convention of In-house Style\u201d at the Aston Bogor Hotel and Resort, West Java province.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The discussion featured three key speakers from practitioners to academics. The first speaker Dora Amalia is a Coordinator of the Center for Development and Preservation of Language and Literature of Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology while the second speaker Ibnu Wahyudi is a lecturer at Indonesian Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia. The last speaker Eko Endarmoko is a journalist, editor, writer, and lexicon practitioner.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cOur key speakers on this Focus Group Discussion will help us to improve quality at the Office of the Assistant to the Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Meeting Reporting,\u201d \u00a0said Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Cabinet Work Support Thanon Aria Dewangga while opening the discussion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thanon expressed hope that through this discussion, inputs can be obtained in terms of good and correct language rules in order to produce better cabinet meeting documents, especially transcripts, minutes of meeting, and presidential directives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI hope this FGD will proceed smoothly and produce positive consensus and results that we will use for the improvement of our products and works in the future,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Deputy also underlined that the cabinet meeting document, especially minutes of meeting, is a crucial product because it contains policies established in the highest decision-making forum in the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe minutes are used as a reference for policy makers to implement. Thus, the product produced must be of a maximum quality, as best as possible,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2021, the deputy office has held a discussion under the theme \u201cThe Grammar of Cabinet Meeting Transcript\u201d.
