(Photo by: Vice Presidential Secretariat BPMI)<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Vice President Ma&#8217;ruf Amin Tuesday (06\/14) has urged Indonesian sharia economic and financial actors to strengthen international cooperation so it can improve the country\u2019s halal products competitiveness in the global market.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cBe it in the development of the halal industry, halal tourism, or other halal businesses,\u201d the Vice President said at the Opening of the 2022 International Halal Congress at Novotel Hotel and Convention Center, Pangkalan Baru, Bangka Belitung Islands province.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Citing the 2021 Islamic Financial and Economic Report of central bank Bank Indonesia, the Vice President stated that the share of priority sectors in halal economic chain of Indonesia\u2019s gross domestic product (GDP) increased to 25.4 percent, with the highest contribution from agricultural sector, halal food, Muslim-friendly tourism, and Muslim fashion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe must maintain and utilize this momentum so we can realize Indonesia&#8217;s target of becoming the center of the world\u2019s halal industry by 2024,\u201d he said, adding that synergies and collaborations between the country\u2019s sharia economy and finance stakeholders must continue to be strengthened.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the occasion, the Vice President also underscored the importance of halal product certification to boost competitiveness of Indonesian products to other countries, especially members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe mandatory halal certification will also provide added value in the halal supply chain, thereby increasing the competitiveness of Indonesian product exports, especially to OIC countries,\u201d he remarked. <strong>(BPMI Vice Presidential Secretariat\/UN)<\/strong> <strong>(GWH\/MUR)<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vice President Ma&#8217;ruf Amin Tuesday (06\/14) has urged Indonesian sharia economic and financial actors to strengthen international cooperation so it can improve the country\u2019s halal products competitiveness in the global market. \u201cBe it in the development of the halal industry, halal tourism, or other halal businesses,\u201d the Vice President said at the Opening of the [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":43,"featured_media":250049,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[77],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-250048","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v24.1 (Yoast SEO v26.1.1) -
