Amid the unfavorable situation during COVID-19 pandemic, the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) has given an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) audit rating \u2013 the highest audit grade \u2013 for the 2021 Central Government Financial Report (LKPP).<\/p>\n

\u201cPraise be to God; the BPK has given an Unqualified Opinion for the audit result reports of the 2021 Central Government Financial Report (LKPP). The grade is an excellent achievement amid a tough situation in 2021,\u201d President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo said during the Submission of Audit Result Reports for the 2021 Central Government Financial Report at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, Thursday (06\/23).<\/p>\n

President Jokowi went on to say that unqualified opinion is not the only goal of the Government financial management. The management aims at providing measures to use the people\u2019s money wisely, manage, and make the best use of it in a transparent and accountable manner, and bring direct benefit to the people.<\/p>\n

The Government, he added, continues to improve its financial management and make it more effective and inclusive, as well as to adopt programs by taking into account a good financial management.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe strongly believe that a good management can improve the effectiveness of risk management and support a target achievement of the programs,\u201d he said adding that the Government is committed to make improvements for following up the recommendations from the BPK, such as internal control system and non-compliance with laws and regulations.<\/p>\n

The President also praised the BPK for providing inputs and supports to the Government financial management during the pandemic.<\/p>\n

\u201cI order the ministers, heads of agencies, and regional governments to immediately follow up the recommendations from the BPK,\u201d the President said.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, Chairperson of the BPK Isma Yatun said that the BPK had reviewed Financial Reports from 87 ministries\/agencies and State General Treasurer (LKBUN), four of which received qualified opinion (WDP), namely Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Manpower, the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), and Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI).<\/p>\n

\u201cNevertheless, it will not affect the unqualified opinion of the 2021 LKPP. In this regard, we hope the Government can continue to make effective efforts so that all ministries\/agencies can obtain WTP opinions,\u201d she said.
