President Joko Wednesday (07\/13) handed over Business Identification Number (NIB) to micro, small entrepreneurs at Indonesian Army special forces\u2019 Nanggala Sport Building in Jakarta.<\/p>\n

On that occasion, the President expressed his happiness that the number of entrepreneurs who have had NIB has significantly increased thanks to Online Single Submission<\/em> (OSS).<\/p>\n

According to President Jokowi, before the Government released OSS, there were approximately 2,000 permits issued. After OSS was released, there are 7,000-8,000 permits per day released.<\/p>\n

Even the number has significantly increased, the Head of State urged his related administrations to keep increasing the number, and told to issue 100,000 permits per day.<\/p>\n

\u201cRegional Leaders will take the responsibility to urge micro, small, medium entrepreneurs to obtain NIB,\u201d President Jokowi added.<\/p>\n

Moreover, President emphasized that he will ensure that the issuance of NIB through OSS can be done in a short time.<\/p>\n

Echoing the same sentiment, Minister of Investment\/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BPKM) Bahlil Lahadalia also ensured that the issuance of NIB through OSS can be done effectively.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor MSMEs, it takes maximum 30 minutes and it is free. Free halal certificate and the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) certification,\u201d Bahlil said.<\/p>\n

As of today, Bahlil continued, there are 1,513,000 NIB issued through OSS and 98 percent of total numbers are MSMEs.<\/p>\n

Based on BKPM\u2019s official website, NIB is identity for entrepreneurs. After obtaining NIB, entrepreneurs can apply for Business Permit and Commercial or Operational Permit in accordance with their respective business sectors. NIB can be functioned as Registration Certificates (TDP), Import Identification Number (API), and right of access to customs. After obtaining NIB, entrepreneurs will be registered as participants of social security for health and employee. NIB is valid as long as the entrepreneurs run their businesses.
