{"id":252505,"date":"2022-07-15T18:00:02","date_gmt":"2022-07-15T11:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/setkab.go.id\/?p=252505"},"modified":"2022-07-18T12:15:30","modified_gmt":"2022-07-18T05:15:30","slug":"govt-prepares-health-screening-for-returning-hajj-pilgrims","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/setkab.go.id\/en\/govt-prepares-health-screening-for-returning-hajj-pilgrims\/","title":{"rendered":"Gov\u2019t Prepares Health Screening for Returning Hajj Pilgrims"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_252506\" style=\"width: 440px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-252506\" class=\"wp-image-252506 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/setkab.go.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/JEMAAH-HAJI-KEMKES-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"430\" height=\"230\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-252506\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Hajj pilgrims (PR of Ministry of Health)<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a bid to mitigate the spike in COVID-19 cases on hajj pilgrims after their return to the country, the Indonesian Government has prepared a layered health screening system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe screening in question includes checking body temperature using thermal scanner and thermal gun, checking signs and symptoms, and observing the pilgrims at the Hajj Debarkation Dormitory,\u201d the Government Spokesperson for COVID-19 Handling and Ambassador for New Habit\u00a0Adaptation Reisa\u00a0Broto Asmoro said in a virtual press statement, Friday (07\/15).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Furthermore, the Spokesperson also stated that if a pilgrim shows a symptom of fever or a potential for infectious diseases, further examination and antigen test will be carried out.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIf the result is positive, the person will be referred to a centralized isolation facility for asymptomatic or mild cases. Meanwhile, those with moderate or severe symptoms will be referred to a COVID-19 referral hospital,\u201d Reisa said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the other hand, for the pilgrim who is declared healthy upon arrival and observation, the pilgrim can go home with an appeal to continue to monitor their health condition for 14 days.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Furthermore, Ministry of Health has ordered all hospitals to prepare 10 to 30 percent of their beds. \u201cAlso, to prepare several centralized self-isolation places as well as medical devices, human resources, medicines, and PPE,\u201d Reisa said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For the record, the return period to the country is set in two phases.
