President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo and First Lady Ibu<\/em> Iriana Joko Widodo Wednesday (07\/27) visited Emperor of Japan Naruhito and Empress Masako at Japan Imperial Palace in Tokyo.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival at the main terrace of the Emperor\u2019s residence, the President Jokowi and the First Lady were welcomed by the Emperor and the Empress.<\/p>\n

\u201cWelcome, I am very grateful to meet with President Jokowi again,\u201d Emperor Naruhito said, to which the President responded: \u201cThank you for your reception His Majesty.\u201d<\/p>\n

After reception, The President and First Lady entered the meeting room and had discussion. After the 30-minute meeting, the President and First Lady bid farewel and left the Emperor\u2019s residence.<\/p>\n

The President also said \u201cI will wait for your visit to Indonesia, His Majesty,\u201d to which the Emperor responded: \u201cThank you. I wish for your happiness and success President Jokowi.\u201d<\/p>\n

Born on February 23, 1960, Naruhito is the 126th<\/sup> Emperor of Japan and was officially inaugurated on May 1, 2019. His reign period, called the Reiwa era, means \u201cbeautiful harmony\u201d.
