In commemorating the 77th<\/sup> Anniversary of Indonesia\u2019s independence, the Government will carry out several events this month.<\/p>\n

The commemoration, with the theme of \u201cRecover Faster, Rise Stronger\u201d, will begin with zikr <\/em>ceremony on Monday (08\/01).<\/p>\n

“Tonight, zikr <\/em>ceremony will be held at the Merdeka Palace. The event will be attended by interfaith leaders,” Secretary of Ministry of State Secretariat Setya Utama said in Jakarta, Monday (08\/01).<\/p>\n

On August 13 to 22, the Presidential Archives and Car Exhibition will be held in Sarinah, Jakarta. At the exhibition, the visitors will have opportunity to see archives in the forms of photos, videos, and documents.<\/p>\n

The next agenda is the commemoration of the national technology awakening day on August 10, followed by the commemoration ceremony of the 61st<\/sup> scout day which will be held at the State Palace on August 11. On August 12, the national award ceremony will be held at the State Palace.<\/p>\n

The rehearsals for the independence commemoration ceremony will be held at the courtyard of the Merdeka Palace, while the inauguration of the flag-hoisting team (Paskibraka) will be held at the State Palace on August 15.<\/p>\n

“On August 15, the Indonesian Discount Shopping Day will take place,” Setya said.<\/p>\n

On August 16, President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo will deliver his annual address before the members of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR), House of Representatives (DPR) and Regional Representatives Council (DPD).<\/p>\n

“On the evening of August 16, there will be a ceremony to honor independence heroes at Kalibata Heroes Cemetery,” Setya said.<\/p>\n

The main event, namely the commemoration ceremony of Indonesia\u2019s Independence, will be held on August 17, 2022. This year’s ceremony will be held in a hybrid format.<\/p>\n

On August 18, there will be a commemoration of Constitution Day at the MPR\/DPR\/DPD Building.<\/p>\n
