President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo Thursday (08\/18) awarded a cash bonus to Under-16 (U-16) national football team for achievement of winning the 2022 ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) U-16 Championship on Friday (08\/12).<\/p>\n

The Rp1 billion bonus was handed out by the Presidential Secretariat\u2019s Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media Bey Machmudin at Hotel Sultan in Jakarta.<\/p>\n

Also joining at the handover of bonus were General Secretary of the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) Yunus Nusi, Coach Bima Sakti and all players of the national U-16 football team.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs Mr. President earlier said, he hopes that the national U-16 football team can keep up the good work and make achievements,\u201d Bey said.<\/p>\n

Bey also expressed hopes that other national football teams including U-19, U-23, and the senior team can also make more achievements.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, General Secretary of PSSI Yunus Nusi expressed gratitude to President Jokowi for his concern to the U-16 national team.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the U-16 national team coach Bima Sakti said that he would try his best to coach the team in order to keep making achievements.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have prepared an extraordinary training program so that the team development can be maintained in order to make achievements for U-16, U-19, as well as U-23 national teams. I would like to express my gratitude to the President and the Government. Without their supports we would not be here,\u201d Bima said.<\/p>\n
