{"id":256133,"date":"2022-08-31T13:30:38","date_gmt":"2022-08-31T06:30:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/setkab.go.id\/?p=256133"},"modified":"2022-08-31T15:17:44","modified_gmt":"2022-08-31T08:17:44","slug":"govt-earmarks-rp608-3-t-for-education-in-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/setkab.go.id\/en\/govt-earmarks-rp608-3-t-for-education-in-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Gov\u2019t Earmarks Rp608.3 T for Education in 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_255925\" style=\"width: 2510px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-255925\" class=\"size-full wp-image-255925\" src=\"https:\/\/setkab.go.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/20220828-KonpresRatas1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2500\" height=\"1667\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-255925\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani (Photo: Rahmat\/PR)<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Government has reaffirmed commitment to maintaining education budget of 20 percent in the 2023 State Budget amounting to Rp608.3 trillion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, the measure aims to improve quality and competitiveness of Indonesia\u2019s human resources.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The education budget of Rp608.3 trillion or 20 percent of the 2023 State Budget shows the Government\u2019s commitment in education sector,&#8221; Sri Mulyani said during the House of Representatives\u2019 budget working meeting with the Government, Tuesday (08\/30).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Government will allocate Rp233.9 trillion for the Smart Indonesia Program for 20.1 million students and the Smart Indonesia College Card for 976,800 students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition, Teacher Professional Allowances for both Civil Servants (PNS) and non-civil servants will also be provided.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Meanwhile, Rp305 trillion, which will be channeled through Transfers to Regions scheme, is intended to finance school operations for 44.2 million students and for the operational costs of Early Childhood Education for 6.1 million students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;We will also continue allocating education reserve funds that are included in the financing post,\u201d said Sri Mulyani said, adding that a total of Rp69.5 trillion is prepared for the education endowment fund, including the Islamic schools endowment fund, research endowment fund, university endowment fund, and cultural endowment fund.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Minister also explained the direction of the education budget policy in 2023, among other increasing access to education at all levels of education through the expansion of compulsory education and educational assistance, improving the quality of infrastructure supporting educational activities, especially in 3T (frontier, outermost, underdeveloped) areas, strengthening link and match with the job market, providing equal distribution of education quality, as well as strengthening the quality of early childhood education services.<strong> (PR of Ministry of Finance\/UN) (EST\/EP)<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Government has reaffirmed commitment to maintaining education budget of 20 percent in the 2023 State Budget amounting to Rp608.3 trillion.
