President Joko Widodo inaugurates the 3rd WCCE in Bali, Thursday (10\/06) (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat\/Lukas).<\/p><\/div>\n

The 3rd<\/sup> World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE), held on October 5-7, 2022 in Bali, produced \u201cBali Creative Economy Roadmap\u201d or \u201cBali Roadmap\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Bali Roadmap is a document agreed by all delegates of the WCCE as a roadmap for economic awakening in which the creative economy sector serves as the backbone of the global economic awakening,\u201d said Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy\/Head of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno on Friday (10\/07).<\/p>\n

The roadmap has been passed through discussion among member countries, international organizations, and other related stakeholders since June 2022.<\/p>\n

On Thursday (10\/06), the roadmap was signed by Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy and was adopted at International Ministerial Meeting that will be Indonesian legacy for International creative economic sector.<\/p>\n

The Bali Roadmap consists of several points related to the mainstreaming of creative economy in global economy including transformation of informal business actors to formal business actors. In addition, there is also a point related to the financing access that can facilitate creative economic business actors to obtain more accesses to financing.<\/p>\n

Moreover, point on marketing is agreed in the roadmap so that creative economic business actors can adapt to digital technology. In addition, the vital point in creative economic sector is intellectual property <\/em>(IP) to protect products\u2019 intellectual property rights and to facilitate creative economic business actors an access to financing.<\/p>\n

Sandi expressed his hope that the Bali Roadmap can give contribution to policies on creative economy around the globe. It is also expected that the WCCE can be a spirit to bounce back in line with the spirit of G20; recover together, recover stronger<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Sandi further said that amid the threat of global inflation, the creative economy sector serves as the backbone dominated by micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) which create 97 percent of job opportunities.<\/p>\n

Earlier, President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo Thursday (10\/06) in his remarks during the inauguration of the conference said that Indonesia has reinforced its commitment to take action in developing inclusive creative economic ecosystem and encouraging more creative economy\u2019s roles in global economic recovery.<\/p>\n

The President expressed his belief that creative economy in the future will become a solution to improving people\u2019s living standards.<\/p>\n

When COVID-19 pandemic limited people\u2019s mobility, the mobility of creative economy works was still able to move and survive compared to other sectors. In fact, a number of subsectors of the creative economy including game development, application were able to grow significantly, according to the President.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, President Jokowi expressed his fervent hope that the 3rd<\/sup> WCCE can produce the Bali Creative Economy Roadmap for Global Recovery to accelerate an inclusive and sustainable national and global economic recovery process.
