Syahril said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe types of medicines that can be prescribed are in accordance with the recommendations of the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM),\u201d Syahril said as quoted from the official website of the Ministry, Tuesday (10\/25).<\/p>\n<p>The policy is stipulated in the Letter of Acting Director General of Health Services of Ministry of Health, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kemkes.go.id\/downloads\/resources\/download\/pengumuman\/2022\/Petunjuk-Penggunaan-Obat-Sediaan-Cair-atau-Sirup-pada-Anak-Dalam-Rangka-Pencegah.pdf\">Number: HK.02.02\/III\/3515\/2022 on Instruction for Use of Liquid\/Syrup Medicines to Children to Prevent the Rise of Cases of Atypical Progressive Acute Kidney Disorder (GGAPA)\/(Atypical Progressive Acute Kidney Injury)<\/a> issued on October 24, 2022.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kemkes.go.id\/downloads\/resources\/download\/pengumuman\/2022\/Petunjuk-Penggunaan-Obat-Sediaan-Cair-atau-Sirup-pada-Anak-Dalam-Rangka-Pencegah.pdf\">The list of 156 medicines can be read at Appendix 1 of the Letter of Head of BPOM Number HM.01.1.2.10.22.172 (133 lists of product names) and Appendix 2A of Letter of Head of BPOM Number HM.01.1.2.10.22.173 (23 lists of product names).<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In addition, the Ministry also stated that health workers can prescribe or give <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kemkes.go.id\/downloads\/resources\/download\/pengumuman\/2022\/Petunjuk-Penggunaan-Obat-Sediaan-Cair-atau-Sirup-pada-Anak-Dalam-Rangka-Pencegah.pdf\">12 types of medicines that are difficult to substitute <\/a>with other type of medicines until the BPOM can obtain and announce the test results.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwelve brands of medicines containing active substances valproic acid, sildenafil, and chloral hydrate can be consumed as monitored by health personnel,\u201d Syahril said.<\/p>\n<p>Pharmacies and drug stores can sell through over the counter and\/or by prescription to the public in accordance with the provisions of the law.<\/p>\n<p>Ministry of Health also ordered the provincial health office, local health office, and health service facilities to supervise and educate the people on the use of medicines in accordance with their respective authorities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMinistry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia will issue a notification letter after obtaining the test results conducted by the BPOM for other types of syrup medicines,\u201d he remarked. <strong>(Ministry of Health PR\/UN) (GWH\/LW)<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Health workers at health care facilities can now prescribe 156 liquid\/syrup medicines for these medicines are ensured not using propylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, sorbitol, and\/or glycerin\/glycerol, spokesperson for Ministry of Health M.
