President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo and the First Lady Ibu Iriana Joko Widodo headed to Bangkok, Thailand, through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali province, on Thursday (11\/17). The President was scheduled to attend the 2022 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, the First Lady and I with a limited delegation will head to Bangkok, Thailand. I will attend APEC Summit meetings until Friday, 18 November 2022,\u201d President Jokowi said in his remarks before the plane took off.<\/p>\n

The APEC Summit concludes a series of summits after the ASEAN Summit in Cambodia and G20 in Bali, Indonesia. The President mentioned that Indonesia\u2019s main focus in the APEC Summit is to boost an inclusive and sustainable economic recovery.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe basic principle is to leave no one behind. Digital transformation, green economy, and downstreaming industry will be Indonesia\u2019s priorities in this year\u2019s APEC,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

According to the Head of State, APEC represents almost 3 billions of the global community and the 60 percent of the global GDP. \u201cAPEC should continue to serve as the economic growth machine in the Asia-Pacific region,\u201d the President added.<\/p>\n

President Jokowi and Ibu Iriana will come back to Indonesia soon after the APEC Summit concluded on Friday, 18 November 2022.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will be back to Indonesia, insya Allah, in the evening of 18 November,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

The Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung was accompanying President Jokowi and Ibu Iriana during the visit to Thailand.<\/p>\n
