Indonesian Government Will Send US $ 1 Million to Help Earthquake Victims Nepal<\/p><\/div>\n

Indonesian government decided to send US $ 1 million, to help victims of the earthquake with a magnitude of 7.9 on the Richter Scale (SR) that occurred in Nepal, Saturday (25\/4) ago. In addition, a number of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and other humanitarian organizations in Indonesia also will send assistance amounting to US $ 1 million, so that the total Indonesian aid worth US $ 2 million.<\/p>\n

“As planned, the delivery will be made on Friday (1\/5), or no later than Sunday (3\/5),” Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said, Head of Data Information and Public Relations of National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) in a press release on Monday (27\/4).<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The coordination meeting, Sutopo said, held as a follow up of the orders of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to send Indonesian aid to the earthquake victims in Nepal on Sunday (26\/4).<\/p>\n

According to Sutopo, the logistics and equipment that will be sent to help victims of the earthquake in Nepal in the form of foods, medicine and goods. He said BNPB will send 300 units of family tents, 3 posts tent, 3 refugee tents, side dishes of 10,000 packets, nutritional supplementary foods as much as 10,000 packages, and instant food 3,000 packages.<\/p>\n

While the Ministry of Social Affairs sent 4,500 blankets, Ministry of Health sent 500 body bags and solids 2 tons. Justice postal Care (PKPU) sent 50 body bags, Rumah Zakat 10,000 cans of corned goats, and other assistance.<\/p>\n

Delivery of personnel and goods, Sutopo obvious, will be conducted with two Garuda Indonesia Airbus. “Garuda Indonesia plane that returned from Kathmandu will bring the Indonesian citizens (WNI) and the citizens of neighboring countries to Jakarta. Currently all of the preparation is done,” Sutopo said.<\/p>\n
