President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo called on the Government to execute all programs and initiatives generated from the G20 Summit under Indonesia\u2019s presidency, among others 226 multilateral projects valued at US$238 billion and 140 bilateral projects valued at US$71.4 billion.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe most important thing is to follow up the agreements through an establishment of a taskforce since there are 226 multilateral projects valued at US$238 billion and 140 bilateral projects valued at US$71.4 billion. We must ensure that all projects, programs, and initiatives are executed in a timely manner,\u201d the President said in a limited meeting on the evaluation of organization of G20 Summit, at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Monday (11\/28).<\/p>\n

In addition, the President also pushed for acceleration of investment realization from G20 member countries, including investment commitments that were generated from B20 Summit.<\/p>\n

The investment commitments include infrastructure funding project through the Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGII) scheme and funding for electric vehicle development through Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) which was led by the United States. In addition, there are also investment commitments for the Jakarta mass rapid transit (MRT) project from Japan, Britain, and South Korea as well as cooperation with Turkey on construction project of Trans Sumatra Toll Road.<\/p>\n

According to the President, task forces need to be established to follow up those agreements based on each country.<\/p>\n

Earlier on the meeting, President Jokowi expressed his joy at Indonesia’s success in carrying out the mandate of the G20 presidency which had succeeded in ratifying the agreement of the G20 leaders as contained in the G20 Bali Leaders’ Declaration.<\/p>\n
