(Photo by: Rahmat\/PR)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo has emphasized that Law Number 6 of 2014 on Villages has regulated the tenure of village heads for six years and for three periods.<\/p>\n<p>He made the statement in response to village heads who marched in front of the House of Representatives (DPR) building to voice their opinion on the extension of the village head&#8217;s term of office some time ago.<\/p>\n<p>The President said that the extension of the term of office was the aspiration of the village heads. He also invited village heads to convey their aspirations to the DPR.<\/p>\n<p>For the record, on Monday, January 16, 2023, the village heads gathered in front of the DPR building, asking for the revision of Article 39 Paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 of 2014, so that the village head&#8217;s term of office that was originally six years could become nine years. <strong>(TGH\/BPMI SETPRES\/UN) (EST\/LW)<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo has emphasized that Law Number 6 of 2014 on Villages has regulated the tenure of village heads for six years and for three periods.
