Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno said that following the revocation of the community activity restrictions (PPKM) policy, the Government continues to take efforts to boost national economic growth amidst global economic and foreign demand downturns.<\/p>\n

They made the statement during a joint press conference after the Limited Meeting on Increasing Economic and Tourism Activities after PPKM Revocation, at the Presidential Office, Jakarta Monday (01\/30).<\/p>\n

Airlangga explained that the Government encourages some domestic sectors to grow, such as consumption, investment, industry, and tourism. Moreover, it also has set priorities to maintain and boost people\u2019s purchasing power as well as to keep inflation in check.<\/p>\n

\u201cInflation in regions monitored during January is on transportation sector, in particular air transportation. The second issue is about several commodities including the price of rice in December last year, so the Government will continue to control situation of stock availability and price of rice\u201d, said Airlangga.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Government encouraged tourism sector to be an economic driver and supported the development of tourism special economic zone (KEK).<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Government encourages the implementation of KEK, particularly tourism, and suggests several things that can improve investment in tourism sector,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Regarding investment, the Government also encouraged the revision of derivative regulations related to Job Creation Law that is Government Regulation Number 5 of 2021 on the Implementation of Risk-Based Business Licensing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Government also encourages the revision of derivative regulations of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perppu) on Job Creation, among others the revision of Government Regulations on Risk-Based Business Licensing, particularly basic licensing such as Conformity of Space Utilization Activities (KKPR), Buildings Agreement (PBG), and Environmental Impact Assessment (AMDAL). The Government will continue to improve debottlenecking of licensing to ensure investments are going well,\u201d Airlangga explained.<\/p>\n

Airlangga further stated that the Government has committed to realize the investment commitment of 30 National Strategic Projects (PSN) with estimated value of Rp360 trillion in 2023. (FID\/UN) (GA\/MMB)<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
