On the second day of his working visit to Bali province, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thursday (02\/02) inspected the Baturiti Market in Tabanan regency to check firsthand the prices of staple food and distribute social assistance to local traders and the surrounding community.<\/p>\n

“I went to the Baturiti Market to check the prices. The oil price remains stable at Rp15,000. Well, there is a slight increase, but it is normal,” the President said.<\/p>\n

On that occasion, the President said that the prices of other staple food also tend to rise, including rice prices.<\/p>\n

“The price of rice is increasing in all provinces,” he said, adding that he has ordered his Cabinet Ministers to launch market operations.<\/p>\n

“Currently, the State Logistics Agency (Bulog) has been carrying out market operations in all provinces since early January. There is no significant change yet, but it has shown a slight decrease. We will constantly carry out large-scale market operations on the ground,” the President remarked.
