\nThe normalization of the Ciliwung river is remaining roughly around 17 kilometers. After pausing for a while, we will restart immediately because there are already several lands that have been cleared, for example in Rawajati. Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) can start the project immediately. While for Pengadegan area, the Governmnt will start the payment process for land acquisition. So that later the road construction will immediately start on the areas that have been cleared.<\/p>\n

We hope in two years or the end of 2024 the project will be completed. So that the normalization of the Ciliwung river is finished completely. This will greatly reduce flooding because the water from upstream will be held back by the Ciawi Dam and Sukamahi Dam. This is only Ciliwung, there are still other 12 rivers in Jakarta, which also need normalization.<\/p>\n
