The Kalimantan Industrial Park Indonesia (KIPI) in North Kalimantan province is projected to be the largest green industrial area in the world as well as to be Indonesia’s future in green energy industry development, President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo has said.<\/p>\n

“The Industrial Park, which covers an area of 13,000 hectares, will be prepared for the development of the first EV battery, petrochemicals, and aluminum industries. We hope they will be supported by green energy, renewable energy, and hydropower from Mentarang river and Kayan river in the province,” said the President after inspecting the KIPI area in the province\u2019s Bulungan regency, Tuesday (02\/28).<\/p>\n

The President also expressed belief that the region will produce competitive green products, saying that this would be a strength for the green industrial area.<\/p>\n

“We hope that with competitive strength like that and with all green energy and energy products the region produces, it can be the strength of this industrial park,” he said, adding that the KIPI can become the future of Indonesia as the center of green industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the future of Indonesia. The future of Indonesia is here. If we can properly develop this, any industry related to green products will definitely look to this area,” he said, adding that he will continue monitoring the progress of the development and ensuring that it can go ahead according to the targets.<\/p>\n

“I will continue following up on the progress from day to day, from month to month, so that it will not miss the schedule we have set.
