In a bid to ensure the smooth running of general elections, President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo underscored the Government\u2019s commitment to overseeing the elections\u2019 stages.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have repeatedly said that the Government is committed to the smooth running of the stages of the general elections. The budget has also been well prepared,\u201d the President said in a press statement at the Al-Ittifaq Islamic Boarding School, Bandung regency, West Java province, Monday (03\/06).<\/p>\n

Regarding the ruling of Central Jakarta District Court on the elections delay, the President stated that the ruling raises pros and cons in the society. \u201cWe hope that the stages of the elections can continue and indeed [the ruling] is controversial and raises pros and cons. However, the Government also supports the KPU (General Elections Commission) to appeal,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
