This afternoon, I visited Surakarta Tax Office to inspect the process of reporting annual tax return (SPT).<\/p>\n
I was amazed that people would stand in line to file their annual tax return. They could\u2019ve filled it through e-filling online app from home but they wanted to ensure they have filed the right form. They would bring the form, ensure it, and pay the tax.<\/p>\n
Secondly, compared to the previous year on the same date, month, the number of taxpayers has increased from 5.4 million to 6.6 million taxpayers. It means that there is an increase in number of taxpayers filing their annual tax return. It also means that people are eager to file their annual tax returns. It makes me proud.<\/p>\n
Thirdly, I have filed my annual tax return. We hope that all taxpayers should file the annual tax return before the March 31 deadline.<\/p>\n
Why do we have to do that? We hope the tax revenue can be used to provide fuel subsidy, electric subsidy, fertilizer subsidy, village funds, social assistance and to develop infrastructure such as roads, ports, all of which are generated from tax revenue.<\/p>\n
