The Government has officially raised the Government purchase price (HPP) of harvested dry grain at the farmers level to Rp5,000 per kilogram from the original HPP of Rp4,200 per kilogram.<\/p>\n

The increase was announced by Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas) Arief Prasetyo Adi, Wednesday (03\/15), at the Presidential Palace Compound, Jakarta, after attending a limited meeting chaired by President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo.<\/p>\n

“Harvested dry grain at the farmers level is Rp5,000, harvested dry grain rice at the milling level is Rp5,100, milled dry grain at the mill is Rp6,200, milled dry grain at the Bulog warehouse is Rp6,300,\u201d said Arief.<\/p>\n

Apart from that, the Government also stipulates the HPP for rice in Bulog warehouses with a maximum moisture content of 14 percent, broken grains with a maximum of 20 percent, and groats with a maximum of 2 percent for Rp9,950.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the Government also sets the highest retail price (HET) for medium-quality rice and premium-quality rice based on zoning.<\/p>\n

\u201cZone I is for Java, Lampung, South Sumatra, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, and Sulawesi. Zone II for Sumatra other than Lampung and South Sumatra, East Nusa Tenggara, and Kalimantan. Zone III for Maluku and Papua,” said Arief.<\/p>\n

Following are the HET details based on zoning:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Zone I: medium-quality rice at Rp10,900 and premium-quality rice at Rp13,900.<\/li>\n
  2. Zone II: medium-quality rice at Rp11,500 and premium-quality rice at Rp14,400.<\/li>\n
  3. Zone III: medium-quality rice at Rp11,800 and premium-quality rice at Rp14,800.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Arif added that the agency will issue regulations related to the HPP for rice and grain.<\/p>\n
