President Jokowi on Wednesday (05\/10) chairs the ASEAN Leaders’ Interface with ASEAN Inter-parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai regency, East Nusa Tenggara province.<\/p><\/div>\n

President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo on Wednesday (05\/10) chairs the ASEAN Leaders\u2019 Interface With ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) at the Meruorah Komodo Hotel, Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai regency, East Nusa Tenggara province.<\/p>\n

“In the long run, parliamentary role is pivotal in developing the 2045 ASEAN agenda,” the President said.<\/p>\n

According to the President, ASEAN-AIPA leaders must ensure that ASEAN is more responsive and resilient in facing challenges so that it becomes a center of growth and peaceful, stable, and democratic region.<\/p>\n

“We must ensure ASEAN is more responsive and resilient in facing challenges to become a center of growth, and peaceful, stable, and democratic region,” the President said.<\/p>\n

The President also highlighted the importance of collaboration between Governments and Parliaments in order to ensure that ASEAN could be the Epicentrum of Growth.<\/p>\n

\u201cCollaboration between Governments and Parliaments must be strengthened to preserve and solidify political stability and democracy, and ensure that ASEAN can be the Epicentrum of Growth,\u201d the President said.<\/p>\n

On that occasion, President Jokowi also extended his appreciation for parliamentary support in ASEAN during the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n
