President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo led the 26th<\/sup> ASEAN-China Summit in Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta, on Wednesday (09\/06).<\/p>\n

In his remarks, President Jokowi underscored the importance of trust, in order to realize concrete cooperation with mutual benefits between ASEAN and PRC.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe trust and concrete cooperation can act as positive forces for regional stability and peace,\u201d said the President.<\/p>\n

The President said that PRC is one of the four ASEAN dialogue partners with comprehensive strategic partner status.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year is the PRC\u2019s 20th<\/sup> year of accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation. We need to interpret all of this by realizing concrete cooperation with mutual benefits, which can only be done if we have mutual trust, which absolutely needs to be built and maintained by all parties,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Also accompanying the President during the opening of the 26th<\/sup> ASEAN-China Summit were the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo, and Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan.
