Excellencies ASEAN Leaders,<\/p>\n

Welcome to Jakarta, President Yoon.<\/p>\n

For Indonesia, ASEAN-Korea partnership is the partnership of the future, with the main pillars of energy transition and digital transformation. ASEAN\u2019s dependency on 78% fossil fuel must be reduced. In the meantime, in the next decade the digital economy in ASEAN is predicted to contribute US$1 trillion to the region\u2019s GDP. However, energy transition and digital transformation require investment and transfer of technology in a significant amount. Therefore, collaboration and partnership are important.<\/p>\n

Your Excellency,<\/p>\n

Apart from the economic side, the future partnership will only be achieved when regional stability is maintained, tensions and rivalries are reduced, strategic trust is strengthened and the habit of cooperation is enhanced. This is the responsibility of all of us in the Indo-Pacific region.<\/p>\n

Let me express my appreciation for the support of the Republic of Korea for the ASEAN-Indo-Pacific Forum. This is a concrete manifestation of inclusive cooperation to maintain stability and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.<\/p>\n

That concludes my remarks.<\/p>\n
