Cabinet Secretariat (Setkab), Wednesday (09\/27), received courtesy call from audiences of Training Program for Leadership, Public Policy and National Development, International Institute of Public Policy and Management (INPUMA), Malaya University, Malaysia, at the 4th<\/sup> floor meeting room, Building III, Ministry of State Secretariat.<\/p>\n

The courtesy call led by Director of INPUMA, Khadijah bint MD Khalid, and they were welcomed by Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Political, Law and Security Affairs Purmono Sucipto.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a special moment for Cabinet Secretariat and also for me, because it is the first time that Malaysian delegation visits to<\/span> Cabinet Secretariat\u2019s office\u201d Purnomo said.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Purnomo explained about the three presidential institutions in Indonesia, namely Ministry of State Secretariat, Cabinet Secretariat, and Presidential Staff Office.<\/p>\n

He also explained that Cabinet Secretariat has a duty to support the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia in government\u2019s cabinet management. The institution chaired by Cabinet Secretary regularly gives policy recommendations which are to be considered and decided by the President.<\/p>\n

\u201cCabinet Secretariat has 700 employees and it is the only office. Therefore, we are probably not so well-recognized by Malaysian community, Prof. However, we are confident to give recommendations regularly, especially for policies to be adopted by the President,\u201d Purmono stated.<\/p>\n

Beside the presentation about Cabinet Secretariat presented by Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Political, Law and Security Affairs Purmono Sucipto, the training audiences also followed the presentation on climate change issue given by Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Maritime and Investment Affairs Dyah Pancaningrum.<\/p>\n

The Training Program for Leadership, Public Policy, and National Development titled \u201cLesson from Indonesia\u201d was attended by 27 participants led by Director of INPUMA Khadijah bint MD Khalid. Also attending this event were Assistant to the Deputy Cabinet Secretary for International Relations Johar Arifin and several officials and employees of Cabinet Secretariat.
